As an MLM Success Training Consultant, if I could classify just one thing that is very obvious and yet so misunderstood that it is almost like a Network Marketing secret, it would be this.

When a prospect is considering your offer, what’s the difference between your opportunity or product and the hundreds or thousands of other opportunities and products available to them? “You”! That’s right, “you” are the difference. The more valuable you become to others, the more they will be attracted to you and want to work with you.

As an example, whenever someone is interested in buying a franchise, one of the first things they do is to travel to the company’s home office to meet the principals of the company. If they don’t like the people there, or feel that they will not be given the support they want, the deal will be dead in the water. The same thing takes place, on a different scale, when someone is considering your Network Marketing opportunity.

Sure, the business itself, or the product, does have a bearing on their decision, but everything comes down to whether or not they want to join you in a business venture, because that’s what they’ll actually be doing. If they don’t have that kind of a good feeling about you, it doesn’t matter one bit how good your product is, or how lucrative your offer might sound.

So don’t think that you can “brow beat” some prospect into joining your opportunity. For most people looking for a home-business opportunity, the most important thing is to find a mentor who will guide them and show them "how" to be successful in the business venture. So you need to invest in yourself to make yourself more knowledgeable and therefore more valuable and more attractive to potential prospects.

The good news is that it doesn’t take a lot to increase your value to a prospect. I can quickly and easily teach you everything you need to know so you'll be able to help them achieve their goals. Of course it goes without saying that it certainly makes a big positive difference if you are also a genuinely nice person.
